Fiona Hesford

Fiona Hesford, started out in the fashion industry, spending 6 years in Paris as a design consultant before heading back to the UK where she went on to work with many companies such as House of Fraser and Next.

You can find Fiona reguarly spending time teaching sewing at Clothkits (Chichester), The Fluffatorium (Dorking) and Eclectic Maker (Worthing) and also at her 'Make Your Mother Proud' sewing workshops, teaching complete beginners and improvers how to sew. Her skills have taken her designs all the way to the red-carpet, when she created the headline-grabbing Swindon dress for BAFTA award winner, Daisy May Cooper.

Fiona also writes regular sewing projects and articles for magazines and books such as Sew, Love Sewing, Sew Now, Popular Patchwork and Love Patchwork & Quilting magazines and is a regular designer here on Sewing Quarter TV (freeview and Sky).
