Jo Carter

Jo Carter

Jo Carter comes from three generations of passionate sewists. Sewing was all around her growing up, and she remembers with delight the moment her mother let her use the sewing machine for the first time.

Jo worked for 10 years as a soft toy designer. A decade spent making small items sparked her love of tiny details and fiddly techniques. She loves simple geometric designs with pops of colour and usually works with smaller scale prints. Whether she’s challenging herself with new dressmaking techniques or getting lost in English Paper Piecing, you’ll always find her with a project on the go.
