Victoria Peat is a freelance pattern designer and sewing teacher who regularly contributes to sewing publications. She started her career by studying at the London College of Fashion, and went on to fit out homes and businesses with top-end leatherwork.
She’s drawn to clean, simple lines, and you’ll rarely see frills and flounces in her work. Her proudest project is a bolero jacket that she wore over her wedding dress, but she’s also immensely proud of a scrappy quilt she made last year. The free motion quilting she did was something of a challenge on a domestic sewing machine, but the difficulties only made the end result more rewarding.
Although most of her spare time is spent sewing, Victoria is also training to be a gymnastics coach.
